THE PROBLEM WORTH FIXING

Africa has a history of insufficient electricity being supplied by the different utilities, forcing consumers to find alternative sources of power supply such as UPS’s, Inverters, generators and Solar.

As electricity supply moves from one source to another there is a microsecond period when the electrical supply is disconnected from one source and initiated from another causing a disturbance   that can be in the form of the following in varying intensities:
Sag or Dip – Lights dim for a second
Under voltage – The electricity supply drops to 180 volts or less
Overvoltage – The electricity supply is pushed up to over 280 volts or more
Outage – outage in itself is not a problem, but the reconnection of electricity is

All of the above create a surge in varying intensities.

Other reasons for power disturbances are:

High demand for power on equipment that switches on and off, such as air conditioners, kettles, urns, lifts, geysers, pool pumps and microwaves on the same circuit.

An overloaded plug, multiplug or circuit with too many electronics items on the same plug or circuit.

What effect does this have on your home or business?

The following list, are common at home and in business today:

Nuisance error codes on copiers

Call drops or jitter on voice over IP telephones

Slow network

Frozen routers, decoders and switches that need resetting to operate efficiently again

Equipment that experiences catastrophic failure referred to as being “blown”

In extreme cases the electronic asset catches fire due to the severity of the surge

Insurance companies are no longer insuring your assets or loss of profit unless a surge protection device has been connected.

Our products will stop all of these.
